Live Healthy & Thrive Youth Foundation (LHTYF) will produce the 3rd Annual Pinnacle Awards & Scholarship Gala on Thursday December 5, 2013 at Georgia Power Headquarters in Atlanta. The ceremony will recognize members in the local community who have reached the pinnacle of success in their respective industries and embody philanthropy. The 2013 honorees are Dr. Jabari Simama of Georgia Piedmont Technical College, Juanita Bates Washington of Anuschka Healthcare Management Group and Lifestyle expert Chef Sean O’Keefe of Sean O’Keefe Events.

In addition, LHTYF is giving four high school students from Atlanta Public Schools and Dekalb County Schools, who want to major in medicine, healthcare, education, hospitality or culinary arts, the opportunity to write an essay for the chance to win $500 book scholarships for their freshman year of college. Atlanta Public Schools Superintendent Erroll B. Davis Jr., will be the keynote speaker for the evening and Elle Duncan of WXIA-TV,11 Alive will host. Special guests Silas Si-man Alexander of WAMJ-FM, K.D. Bowe of WPZE-FM and Joyce Littel of Littel Concepts will assist in handing out awards.


“I’m so excited about the work we are doing to empower and support high school students striving to complete their college education as well as honoring extraordinary Atlanta professionals who excel in their careers and embody philanthropy,” expressed Lori A. Manns, Founder and President of LHTYF. The evening will also feature a gourmet dinner buffet, silent auction and door prizes, culminating with live musical entertainment.
