Last week NFL cornerback A.J. Jefferson was dropped from the Minnesota Vikings after police charged the NFL baller with domestic assault. According to reports, the star cornerback was arrested last Monday at his home in Eden Prairie after his 23-year-old girlfriend told police that Jefferson “grabbed her neck and she could not breathe.”

He then proceeded to “pick her up by the neck” and threw her off the bed. The domestic dispute allegedly occurred around 4:30 a.m. over his girlfriend’s neglect to answer his text messages.

The following day Jefferson was made an example of the Minnesota Vikings’ stand on domestic violence and was cut by the team immediately. Jefferson is being held on $40,000 bail. If convicted he could spend up to three years in the slammer. – ruthie hawkins/@ruubabie
