SandyHookMemorial

President Obama and first lady Michelle Obama are leading a somber remembrance to one of the most inhumane tragedies in American history that was perpetrated a lone crazed gunman executed 20 elementary school children and six school employees at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Conn., one year ago today.

Celebrities join in on the memorial that is being observed from the Connecticut state capital in Hartford — which rang its bell 26 times to honor each of the murder victims — to the nation’s capital in Washington D.C.
