Despite her hectic schedule and the fact that she gave birth to her second son just two weeks ago, we were able to catch up with respected actress Kim Fields, who is spilling the beans on what it’s like to be a new mom…again, her latest project Holiday Love: The Rebirth and more.

Check out her interview below.

Congrats on little Quincy. How are you adjusting to be a mother again?

Things are great. He is great. He’s in my arm’s right now. He just had a 12:15 bottle so we’re good. It’s been a blessing!

How is your 6-year-old Sebastian adjusting to being big brother?

It’s been wonderful. My husband and I talked with him early on and let him know that him having a little brother does not mean that anything is going to be taken away from him. Sebastian was really in love with the idea of being a big brother. He is very helpful. Sebastian has a very helpful spirit and a servants heart so it’s really been a wonderful transition. Chris and I tag team and work through the adjustment of having two kids. God has been so graceful with giving us the things we need from energy when you’re so sleep deprived to getting Quincy to sleep for long stretches, just all kinds of things.

We understand that you’re latest project Holiday Love: The Rebirth drops this weekend. Can you tell us a little bit about the vision behind the film and your character?

Absolutely! I actually play myself and the film is centered around my pregnancy, the birth of Christ and the nativity. So the idea of us having a newborn right around that time inspired us. So basically my husband had the idea of what if we had me pregnant and I have this horrible dream that I’m directing a reality TV show called “Lifestyle of the Pregnant and Fabulous.” So it’s a fictitious holiday special where the celebrities are brought together to compete to have their child be born on Christmas to be the baby in the nativity scene at the All Star Nativity Concert. So, comedian Gary Owens plays our producer who puts it all together and my husband plays his assistant. Debbie Morgan plays one of the contestants as a surrogate and there’s just lots of funny bits and pieces to the story.

Can we expect a special musical guests during the holiday special?

For the concert, we have an All Star cast in terms of our musical components from the Gospel World to Lalah hathaway to Donnie Mcclurkin, so it’s really just a lot of fun and a lot of laughs… lot’s and lot’s of great music fr viewers to enjoy.

When does Holiday Love: The Rebirth premiere and where can fans get access?

We will have a “Celebrity Green Room” Google+ Hangout, we’ve got the live chat room with me exclusively before the show — we’re doing a lot to make this a big web event before the premiere on Sunday December 22, 8pm est / 7 pm central on HOLIDAYLOVE.TV. Fans will have access to the

What is the message you would like viewers to walk away with after watching Holiday Love: The Rebirth?

At the end of the day, we are very “faith friendly” as the entertainment industry likes to call it, so we certainly don’t shy away from praise and worship, honoring Christ and celebrating his birth and all that comes with that. So aside from that, the more subtle message is that, wow, reality TV really has become something else hasn’t it? We won’t label it but we’ll say that it really has become something else. But more than that we never want to lose sight of why we do holiday love. Aside from the faith core component certainly the idea of the pain, the joy, the kindness, the grace, all of the warm and fuzzy things we feel during the holiday season — why not try to have that year round?
