Super Bowl XLVIII beer margarita

BeerMargarita

NFL Super Bowl Sunday isn’t just a day for football afficiandos and avid beer drinkers. Everyone (of drinking age) indulges in some spirits. You have those drinkers who will be watching the game at their local pub and drinking some local lager and you have your stay-at-home game watchers who will be hosting the game at their crib, serving up Budweiser, Coors, Guinness, Blue Moon, Corona, Heineken and/or Dos Equis. Change up the menu a bit and serve your guests a beer margarita.  The recipe is simple and calls for your favorite beer and tequila, lime and water. Serves six Seahawks or Broncos fans.

Beer Margarita Recipe

  • 12 fluid ounce can of frozen limeade
  • 12 fluid ounce tequila
  • 12 fluid ounce beer
  • 12 fluid ounce water
  • Ice
  • 1 lime cut into wedges (for garnish)

1. Pour limeade, tequila, water, and beer into a large pitcher. Stir until well-blended, and limeade has melted. Add plenty of ice, and garnish with lime wedges. Adjust with additional water, if needed.
