The “world’s new leader” has one of Atlanta’s most powerful women in its arsenal. Johnita Due is the assistant general counsel advising on the First Amendment and copyright laws at CNN in Atlanta. Due plays an integral role in the ever-evolving world of media, leading the development and launch of CNN’s first user-generated content site, iReport. Due has received recognition for her outstanding work with CNN’s award-winning diversity council, which seeks to curate and produce content reflective of the viewing audience.

When it comes to being a powerful woman, Due states that it’s better to be influential, “impact change, build trust and credibility.” Due encourages women to “embrace experiences and skills that set them apart from others…identifying needs or gaps within business and turning them into new opportunities.”
