Don’t get Toya Bush-Harris twisted. Just because the “Married to Medicine” reality TV star chose to be a stay-at-home mom and take care of the children for her and her emergency-room doctor husband hardly means that she cannot make it happen on her own. The mother and author clearly demonstrated her business acumen before getting married and she is working with her husband on their new medical concierge business.

As you know, “Married to Medicine” follows the lives of six women in Atlanta who are involved with the medical industry in some way.

The show features doctors, wives of doctors, and women who work in the health care industry. During the height of her career, Bush-Harris was a successful sales representative for the pharmaceutical industry.

Born and raised in Detroit, Bush-Harris attended Tennessee State University and graduated from the University of Phoenix. Upon graduating, she moved back to Detroit to pursue her career as a pharmaceutical representative for several Fortune 500 pharmaceutical companies.

Bush-Harris is married to emergency room doctor, Dr. Eugene Harris, III, who she met in Detroit while he was completing his residency. The couple first met at a speed-dating event, and were practically inseparable soon after meeting. Toya and Eugene have two sons, Ashton and Avery.

The Bush clan is working together to help establish a concierge medical business. In addition to her previous work in health care, she is also an aspiring children’s book author. Bush-Harris spends her free time volunteering in her community and gives a lot of her time to the local church and young women who need mentoring.
