President Barack Obama in White House photos of the week

Obama slides across a counter to pose for photos with staff following lunch at the Dupont Circle Shake Shack in Washington, D.C., May 16

President Barack Obama equally divided his time between traveling and White House duties this past week. While enjoying the California sun, Obama was spotted strolling through a Mountain View Walmart prior to his speech on energy efficiency. At the start of last week, the President addressed the recipients of the 2014 National Association of Police Organizations’ Top Cops in the State Dining Room before heading to New York for a few speaking engagements.

Obama was spotted taking in the view of the new bridge being built adjacent to the Tappan Zee Bridge after giving remarks on the infrastructure at Washington Irving Boat Club in Tarrytown, N.Y., and the following day, he joined former New York City Mayor, Michael Bloomberg, on a tour of Memorial Hall at the National September 11 Memorial & Museum prior to the 9/11 Memorial Museum dedication in New York, N.Y., on May 15. Ready for the weekend, President Obama had a little fun as he slid across a counter at the Dupont Circle Shake Shack in Washington, D.C., to pose for photos with the staff following lunch.

Obama loves to surprise the kids. Starting this week off on a fun note, he stopped to surprise the Northwest Little League baseball teams at Friendship Park in Washington, D.C., on Monday, and last night he surprised student performers at the White House Talent Show hosted by Michelle Obama and the President’s Committee on the Arts and the Humanities in the White House’s East Room.

Take a look at a few White House photos of President Barack Obama’s busy week.
