The Westboro Baptist Church, a radical church, has been protesting at the funeral of fallen soldiers for several years. With signs such as ‘God Hates Fags’ and ‘Your son is in hell,’ they have tortured mourners with their hate. Now, word is coming out that they plan to do the same thing at Maya Angelou’s funeral this Saturday.
The church put out messages using social media asking its followers to find out details about Angelou’s funeral. On the day she died, the group sent out doctored pictures of Angelou and seemed to delight in her death. There has been no word from Angelou’s family on how they plan to handle any protesters that might show up.
