US made Osama bin Laden demon toys

CIA produced toys for distribution to children in Afghanistan

In an operation that shows the extent of U.S. tactics against al-Qaida, it seems that toys were made. These toys show Osama bin Laden as a demon and were planned for distribution to children in areas were al-Qaida was present.

The idea was hatched by the CIA and  the code-name for the bin Laden figures was “Devil Eyes.” The toy’s face would melt under hot water to reveal bin Laden as a demon. A former toymaker for the Hasbro Corporation, Donald Levine, was put in charge of the project. Levine was famous for designing the G.I. Joe action figures of the 1960s. Levine died in 2013 after a long illness with cancer. His family issued the following statement regarding his work for the government: “Don Levine was a dedicated patriot, and proud Korean War veteran. When called on, he was honored to assist our country.”

The CIA claims that they only created a limited amount of prototypes and that the action figures were never distributed.
