Bow Wow retires his stage alias
“106 & Park” host Bow Wow has decided to drop the name that made him a huge star! On Sunday, the 27-year-old rapper, who originally exploded onto the scene as Lil Bow Wow, announced via Instagram that he has dropped his stage alias and moving forward, will strictly answer to his legal name, Shad Moss.
After BET AWARDS … Im going by Shad Moss. Bow Wow does not represent who I am today. It’s only right! Change is here!
— Shad Moss (Mr 106) (@smoss) June 22, 2014
According to Moss, “its time for the next chapter and challenge.” He has come a long way since his rise to fame and his stage moniker no longer represents who he is and where he is going as a “father, businessman, TV host, actor, and rapper.”
In 2002, Bow Wow dropped the “Lil” from his name, originally given to him by his mentor Snoop Dogg aka Snoop Lion. – ruthie hawkins/@ruubabie
