Apollo Nida’s upcoming eight year prison sentence has certainly taken a major toll on his family, and he’s made a bitter mention of the fact that his wife, Phaedra Parks, has distanced herself from him. But it appears that Nida isn’t the only one she’s distancing herself from. According to a new report, Parks has decided to walk away, at least for the time being, from “The Real Housewives of Atlanta.”
According to StraightFromTheA.com, Parks has decided to take a “leave of absence” from the show and is taking time to focus on her sons before Nida turns himself in to begin his prison sentence later this year.
However, that doesn’t mean fans won’t see Parks in season 7. According to the report, Parks has already filmed a substantial amount of scenes for the season.
Speaking of filming, the report also alleges that a particular pivotal scene occurs between Nida and his “RHOA” enemy-suitor Kenya Moore during Cynthia Bailey’s Ebony Magazine celebration at Bar One. Sources claim that Nida and Moore were filmed having a heart- to-heart and that Nida apologized to Moore for accusing her of trying to seduce him, saying that he only made the claim to cover up his inappropriate text conversations with Moore. Moore also reportedly apologized for her role in his marital drama as well.
Sources also claim that Parks was supposed to show up at the event that night but after she heard that Nida would be in attendance, she decided to skip the event altogether.
We’re definitely interested to see how this season is going to play out for Parks, and we’re certainly interested to see how this apology scene with Nida and Moore will be edited for TV. – nicholas robinson
