Eric Harrison is the vice president of sales for Pepsico Foods and the National Black MBA Association local chapter president in Atlanta. He explained his vision and role with the organization.

“I look at the Atlanta chapter, which has the largest membership base with over 1,400 members across the county, as an opportunity to bring African Americans together for empowerment and education. Also, most importantly reaching back and grabbing our youth and getting them ready; not only for education reasons because they are about to go to college or the leadership of tomorrow program, as well as [when] they enter into the workforce so they can have the emotional intelligence and competency to succeed. I also have a large entrepreneurial base and 27 percent of my memberships come to network with real executives and economic buyers who have the ability to make decisions on contracts; it also helps them to build their competency and skills as they go out and pitch new business so they can grow their own enterprise. So most importantly beyond the development, I am responsible for ensuring that we give back.”
