Iggy Azalea set to appear in the upcoming ‘Fast & Furious 7’

Iggy Azalea is everywhere these days.

The Australian rapper is apparently going to be making an appearance in the upcoming action sequel Fast & Furious 7, according to Vin Diesel, star of the long-running movie franchise. While speaking with SkyRockFM about his new movie Guardians of the Galaxy, Diesel shared that Azalea will be making her feature film debut alongside he and his … Furious co-stars.

“I just worked with her two weeks ago,” Diesel says. “We casted her in Fast & Furious 7. She has a cameo in Fast & Furious 7.”

This bit of news comes just a few days after it was announced that Azalea would be host of MTV’s “House Of Style” later this year.

Critics of Azalea’s rise have contended that her emergence, as a white female rapper, obscures and obstructs the careers of aspiring black female rappers — most of whom have largely been invisible over the last, except for Young Money superstar Nicki Minaj. Those critics have also stated that the fact that she is an Australian rapping in a faux-Dirty South accent is cultural appropriation.

It looks as though there was some merit to the concerns that she would become a pop culture sensation, as opportunities for Azalea have seemingly appeared from every avenue of entertainment.
