For Mike Brown: remembering slain black victims of police brutality

Today, August 14th, 2014, people around the country will take part in a vigil for slain teenager Michael Brown, who was killed as he was walking to his grandmother’s house by a police officer in Ferguson, MO five days ago. Here are some of the most high-profile casualties of the police and their unofficial war on black communities.
