Ever since Apollo Nida was convicted of fraud and identity theft earlier this year, fans have been wondering, among other things, when he’ll finally begin serving his eight year prison sentence. Now, after months of waiting, the start of Nida’s prison sentence has finally been revealed.

According to RadarOnline, Nida has been ordered to surrender himself at the FMC Lexington prison in Lexington, Kentucky, on Sept. 10 at noon.

For his crimes, which included $2 million worth of bank, wire and mail fraud as well as identity theft, Nida was originally facing up to 30 years in prison. However, he was only ordered to serve eight.

This will be Nida’s second time doing a stint in prison, the first being a six-year term for a car theft scheme. Shortly after his first prison release, Nida married “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” star Phaedra Parks in 2009, just a year before the couple began appearing on “RHOA.”

However, their marriage has crumbled during Nida’s legal ordeal. Parks notoriously failed to show up to Nida’s sentencing and Nida subsequently made a public statement that he doubted his marriage would last much longer.

Well, we wish Nida good luck during his sentence, and he’ll need it considering that he likely won’t have much support from Parks. – nicholas robinson
