It was only a few days before news of Amber Rose and Wiz Khalifa’s divorce surfaced that “Love & Hip Hop” star Erica Mena revealed to the world that she and Bow Wow are hip-hop’s next big couple to get engaged. But now that Wiz and Rose are splitting, Mena says that not only is she sad for them, but she’s also going to learn from their mistakes.
In an interview with TMZ, Mena explained that she was hoping her good friend, Rose’s, marriage would last.
“I’m actually really good friends with Amber. I’ve met Wiz quite a few times. I’m sad because I feel like they were the ultimate hip-hop collaboration,” said Mena.
Although Mena is saddened by Wiz and Rose’s divorce, she says it has taught her a valuable lesson about maintaining the sanctity of her relationship with Bow Wow.
“It discourages me but at the same time it helps me realize that when you’re in the spotlight you have to protect what’s yours so much more than the average person,” Mena said before revealing major news about Bow Wow’s presence on “LHHNY.”
“A lot of people will be surprised to know that my fiancé won’t be on “Love & Hip Hop,” Mena explained. “I’m just pro-saving what’s mine and keeping it away from the world. When it’s time, right situation, maybe we’ll consider it.”
“I really wanna protect this one. This one is everything I want, everything I need. He’s my world,” said Mena.
Well, clearly it’s rough out there for celebrity relationships. We hope Mena and Bow Wow’s relationship doesn’t crash and burn like Wiz and Rose’s. – nicholas robinson
