Givens then went on to say that the tour’s promoter, Walter Latham, is also denying Underwood’s claims.
During her “Talk” confession last week, Underwood claimed that Latham asked her to be a part of the original Queens of Comedy lineup and a planned second version of the tour. However, Underwood backed out after she phoned in early on a conference call with the three original QOCs and overheard them bashing her.
“There’s a conference call. And in my enthusiasm, I want to be punctual. So I dial into this conference call, thinking that I’m going to be on time. So I dial into this call and what I hear is Sommore, Adele Givens and Laura Hayes talking about me on this call. I hear discussions about my appearance. I hear discussions about my ability, ‘Why is she going to be a part?’ ‘What do we need her for?’ This is my recollection of this call. And I was startled and hurt. I was so shocked and hurt that I could not unmute my phone to go ‘Aye b—-, I hear you!’” Underwood explained.
Well, we didn’t think it was that big of a deal considering this alleged incident happened more than a decade ago. But it looks like Underwood may be in for a legal battle over her accusations. – nicholas robinson
