T.D. Jakes has beef with Jeezy and Kendrick Lamar?

Jeezy and Kendrick Lamar may have inadvertently kick-started a new beef with the release of Jeezy’s “Holy Ghost” remix. Bishop T.D. Jakes, the famed megachurch pastor, is pursuing legal action against the two rappers.

The remix features audio from one of Jakes’ sermons, called “Don’t Let the Chatter Stop You.” The audio is included on the remix that was released online, but isn’t featured on the version that appears on Jeezy’s album. Nonetheless, Jakes is taking legal action.

“The ‘Holy Ghost’ remix by Jeezy featuring Kendrick Lamar was produced without the knowledge or consent of T.D. Jakes, TDJ Enterprises, Dexterity Music or its associated companies,” reads a message posted on the T.D. Jakes Ministries’ Facebook page this week. “We are taking the necessary legal actions to stop the unauthorized use of T.D. Jakes’ intellectual property.”

Jeezy nor Kendrick Lamar have responded to the statement from Jakes.
