Tricked by online photo, man chokes girlfriend

Cornelius Jefferson, 33, of Monroe, Georgia, decided to try the world of online dating to find his soul mate. The Georgia man eventually met a woman online from Kentucky and after looking at her photo, fell in love. He was so lovestruck that he moved from Georgia to eastern Kentucky to be with his online lover.

However, when he finally met his dream woman with his suitcases in hand, but he was not very happy. Apparently, the woman looked nothing like her picture. It lad to a violent argument, which ended when according to the Laurel County Sheriff’s Department, Jefferson “choked her with both hands around the neck and threw food on her and left the scene on foot with two suitcases. Deputy Morris located the subject nearby on Litton Town Road Cornelius Jefferson was charged with assault fourth degree — domestic violence and was lodged in the Laurel County detention facility.”


This whole event serves as a warning to male and female online daters, use your real photo, don’t be a statistic.
