One of Will Smith’s more notable movie successes was the romantic comedy Hitch. The 2005 film featured Smith as a relationship expert with his own commitment issues, and also starred Eve Mendes and Kevin James as a reporter-turned-love-interest and Smith’s hapless client, respectively. Now, according to The Hollywood Reporter, Smith and his wife, Jada Pinkett Smith, are revisiting those characters and a possible new series.
The show is being described as “a workplace comedy that explores dating and sexual politics.”
Pinkett Smith’s brother, Caleeb Pinkett, and Will’s longtime business partner, James Lassiter, are also set to serve as executive producers; with Smith and Lassiter’s Overbrook Entertainment and Sony Pictures Television set to produce the show.
