Phaedra gets advice about letting her sons visit Apollo
When Phaedra pays Kandi a visit, Kandi surprises Phaedra by having her talk with her younger cousin, Melvin, whose father was in jail while he was a child. Melvin explains that he resented his family for trying to keep it a secret that his father was in jail. Melvin tells Phaedra that she needs to be honest with her sons about Apollo being in prison. But when Phaedra asks Melvin if he followed down a criminal path like his father, he explains that he did, but he claims that he’s now gotten his life back on track and still wishes he’d known the truth about his dad.
