A police officer in New Rochelle, New York, pulled his gun on a group of Black kids who were having a snowball fight. According to Talk of the Sound, a person filmed the interaction between the police and young Black boys.

In the video, Sgt. Joe Salerno can be seen yelling at the group of young men with his gun pointed at them, “Don’t f—g move, guys!” The teens are already on the ground while he screams at them.

The woman who was filming the video told the officer, “This group of guys was having a snowball fight, and now the cop has a gun on them.” Sgt. Salerno checks one of the teens for a weapon and eventually tells the Black boys to, “move along.”

New Rochelle police later released a statement that claimed officers were answering a call about a male suspect who brandished a gun. They said the male suspect was with the group of young men who were stopped, but he ran away and couldn’t be found in nearby apartments.

The police have yet to release the 911 transcript or video from a dash cam.
