Martin Luther King III and Andrea King, along with their daughter, Yolanda, visit with artistic director Robert Battle (and dancers) at the Fox Theatre following a performance of Alvin Ailey’s American masterpiece “Revelations” and the Atlanta premiere of Matthew Rushing’s ODETTA, a tribute to the legendary singer and activist known as the “voice of the Civil Rights Movement.”
It’s not too late to get tickets to see the annual Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater performance, the Company will be performing in Atlanta through Sunday, Feb. 15, 2015, on a national tour led by Robert Battle, who this season visited the White House to accept the Presidential Medal of Freedom — the nation’s highest civilian honor – acknowledging Alvin Ailey’s enduring impact on American dance and culture.
