Disney Dreamers Academy prides itself on helping students bring their dreams to fruition. In a classroom setting, the students are split into groups and teamed up with other individuals who want to pursue the same career. Walking throughout the Career Mouse, Wynton Harvey, Jonathan Sprinkles, Princeton Parker, Tracey Powell and more stopped to listen and give advice to the Dreamers.
For example, the journalism class consisted of four young ladies who were in charge of creating a flyer that would be printed out and given to the parents and other Dreamers. The ladies each had a separate task to take on and on day three, the “Career Mouse” showed off a digital version of the flyer.
In the engineering Deep Dive the Dreamers were instructed to create a ride with in a budget. The two groups of 5 or 6 students in each class had to assign roles to each of the students and work together as a team to create a ride for park customers.
A few of the other career classes were entrepreneurship, media, law, acting and fine arts, music production and culinary. In each classroom the students were assigned teacher who were already working in that field. The acting class received tips from actor Lamman Rucker; culinary took instruction by Chef Jeff Henderson; Engineering by Dex Tanksley; Law Rickey Anderson and entrepreneurship was Sonia Jackson Myles.
