The death of Freddie Gray sparked emotions that reached a boiling point on April 27. Hours after Gray’s funeral, Baltimore residents took their frustrations to the streets. Peaceful protesters were accompanied by groups who looted and burned buildings and property.

Baltimore officials enlisted the National Guard and Mayor Rawlings-Blake called for a 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. citywide curfew on April 28. Moments prior to the curfew, rolling out walked through the community of West Baltimore.
