At 17 years old, Ross Capicchioni survived being shot multiple times in a rural area of Detroit on June 6, 2007. A guy he called his friend shot him three times as part of a gang initiation. In his latest single, East Coast rap star Joyner Lucas releases his highly anticipated new visual for his buzzed about single “Ross Capicchioni.” The gripping video depicts the chilling chain of events leading up to Capicchioni’s near fatal shooting.

Lucas’ no-nonsense lyrics paired with a graphic re-enactment of what happened that day in 2007, make for a seriously impactful, yet creative offering. Lucas manages to keep viewers on the edge of their seats in this daring move to revisit a real life tragedy turned miracle.
