Reality star Kirk Frost from the hit TV show ‘”Love & Hip Hop Atlanta” was arrested this past weekend for a wild biker ride on the streets of Atlanta. Frost was part of a mob of 400 bike riders that ran red lights, rode on sidewalks and terrorized the streets of East Atlanta.
Police responded too numerous 911 calls regarding the reckless riders and noise when they noticed Frost, who was riding a three-wheeled, red Polaris Slingshot. According to police, Frost “allegedly ran several more red lights while traveling on the wrong side of the road around 25 miles per hour. Police detained and arrested Frost for five counts of failure to obey a traffic control device and single counts of reckless driving, operating an unregistered vehicle, and driving on the wrong side of the roadway.
When the biker crowd noticed Frost being arrested, several of them circled back around to the scene and began taunting the officers. Some members of the crowd became even more outrageous in their behavior, jumping on police cars and breaking windows. Police spokesperson Sgt. Greg Lyon issued the following statement regarding the crowd behavior and damage to city property:
“An Atlanta police car was damaged by individuals who were riding recklessly in a pack of at least 100 ATVs and motorcycles throughout the city. One of the ATVs stalled at the intersection of Northside and Marietta. An officer who was monitoring the group attempted to apprehend the driver of the stalled ATV on foot and injured his leg as he fell on gravel during a brief foot chase. As he engaged in a foot chase, several members of the pack doubled back around, climbed on the hood of the empty patrol vehicle and began to kick the front windshield, causing damage. The ATV was processed and impounded.”
