After NeNe Leakes announced last month that she isn’t going to return for the 8th season of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta,” fans of the famous housewife were at least comforted by the fact that she’d already announced she was launching a new buddy-style reality show with Kim Zolciak for Bravo. But now reports claim the show has been scrapped.

As previously reported, the new series “NeNe and Kim: The Road to Riches,” was supposed to follow Leakes and Zolciak as they travel across the country together.

“Atlanta’s ‘most driven’ housewives … drive out of their comfort zones and across the country to discover America on a one-of-a-kind adventure,” Bravo said in a statement about the show. “The road to LA may be paved with good intentions, but that doesn’t mean they won’t occasionally drive each other crazy.”

However, according to TMZ, the show has been scrapped because both Leakes and Zolciak are just too busy to film together.

Sources say Zolciak is busy filming her own solo Bravo reality show “Don’t Be Tardy,” while Leakes is busy filming her new primetime ABC game show “To Tell The Truth.”

However, all hope for “Road To Riches” is not lost because there’s a slim chance that after the ladies are done filming their own shows, they might return to the idea of filming together.
