Celebrity hairstylist Gocha Hawkins linked up with WE tv to host a viewing party featuring the premiere of “L.A. Hair,” season four. The celebration was held at her Gocha Salon in Midtown Atlanta, where she welcomed over 150 attendees, including friends and the town’s stylists and reality show stars.
Hawkins, who is a new cast member on the WE tv program, treated her guests to chilled MYX Fusions Moscato, chef Sammy Davis’ appetizing hors d’oeuvres and tasty cupcakes by Eat Heavenly. Those who attended included Mimi Faust of “Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta,” Cameron Cambrice of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta,” Dice Dixon of “La La’s Full Court Life,” HLN host Melissa Knowles, and “Cutting It: In the ATL” stylist LaKenya Morris.
Hawkins announced at the gathering that she will be holding the official opening of her Gocha Salon on Aug. 15, with special guest John Paul Dejoria, who founded Paul Mitchell Systems and owns Patron Tequila. She additionally told her audience that she will be renting out space in her salon for events.
On “L.A. Hair,” Hawkins is the newbie Atlanta stylist hired by Kim Kimble, an A-List celebrity hairstylist based in L.A. who stays on her grind in order to remain on top in her industry.
“L.A. Hair” airs on WE tv Thursdays at 10 EST..
