The reigning queen of hip-hop, Nick Minaj, took the stage at Aaron’s Amphitheatre at Lakewood for “The Pinkprint Tour” on Aug. 2 and brought the house down in Atlanta.

Minaj’s set included songs from her latest album, The Pinkprint, which sold over 500,00 copies, such as “Feelin Myself” featuring Beyoncé, “Anaconda” and “Pills and Potions.” She mixed in a good amount of throwbacks and fans stood and sang every lyric the entire show.

On tour with the star were some of her talented hip-hop and R&B friends and her boyfriend who all helped get the crowd rowdy before her performance.

Tinashe served as the opening act with songs from her new album, Amethyst. She also performed songs from Aquarius like “All Hands on Deck,” “Pretend” and her hit song “2 On.”

Rae Sremmurd hyped up the crowd with hits like “No Type,” “No Flex Zone,” and “This Could Be Us” from their album Sremm Life. The duo has topped the charts several times since their album debuted.

Meek Mill performed hits including  “Check,” “Amen” featuring Drake, and “Dreams and Nightmares.” He included verses from popular features such as “F-U” by Yo Gotti in his performance. He then brought out the hip-hop trio Migos to perform their song “Hannah Montana.” Mill also took time to pay tribute to friends he has lost and his dad with his song “Miss My Dawgs.”

Minaj brought Rae Sremmurd back out to perform their single, “Want Some More.” Then the hip-hop queen brought her boyfriend, Meek Mill, back out to perform their single “All Eyes On You” featuring Chris Brown. Despite rumors of trouble in paradise, the artist gushed about how crazy about Mill she really is saying, “I am so attracted to him” and referring to him as her husband.

Additionally, Minaj brought R&B star Monica out to sing her song “So Gone” before wrapping up the show with “Starships.” Her show was uplifting, leaving fans with one major task, “Believe in yourself.” –alahna lark
