NFL star Adrian Peterson may have to come out of pocket for his alleged ninth baby, even though the mother of the child has had a miscarriage.
Last month, a massage therapist claimed she was pregnant with Peterson’s baby and demanded he pay her $1.9 million dollars in child support and other fees, according to TMZ. She had outlined everything the child would need over the years and how much the expenses would be. For example, she asked for $30,000 for pre and postnatal costs and $60,000 for attorney’s fees.
Peterson’s lawyers denied the woman’s request, but added that the Minnesota Vikings player would provide for the child if a DNA test proved he was the father.
That deal may still stand, even now that the woman has lost the baby. She has saved the fetal tissue so she can get a DNA test, sources close to the situation reportedly told TMZ. If Peterson is the father, she not only wants him to cover the medical expenses she accumulated from being pregnant and having the miscarriage, but she is asking that he compensate her for the “pain and suffering” she’s gone through.
Peterson is still expecting another child soon. His wife is pregnant with his eighth baby.
