It was a storming night but Dallas tastemakers came out in strong numbers to Studio Movie Grill to meet beautiful actress Gabrielle Dennis and watch a sneak preview of Fox’s new show, Rosewood starring Morris Chestnut.The show premiers on Wednesday Sept 23 at 8pm just before the season opener of Empire. The evening started with complimentary food, drink and a lot of selfies in front of “Morris”. There was also sneak peak of the season openers of 3 other Fox shows; Empire (Wenesdays @9), Scream Queens with Keke Palmer premiering Tuesday 9/22 at 8/7c and Minority Report with Meagan Good which premiers Sept 21 @9.
In this new primetime role, Chestnut is the super smart, charismatic, and yes flirty private pathologist Dr. Beaumont Rosewood, Jr., who assists Miami PD with their cases in a very interactive way for a guy who should be “back in the lab studying corpses.” Everything about the show is fun: the beaches, the yachts, the parties. Gabrielle Dennis who plays Tippy, Dr. Rosewood’s sister in the show welcomed the guests and described working with Chestnut. “Morris is great to work with. He is so down to earth that it really is fun working with him.” She went on to say that the cast had to spend long hours on set together but they were happy with the product they produced.
