Staff and customers had to do a double-take earlier this month when two men dressed in black walked into the Advance America bank in Indianapolis, Indiana. One man was dressed as R&B/funk legend Rick James, while the other was dressed like the main character from the 1972 movie Superfly. But it was no joke as the men proceeded to produce handguns and robbed the bank for an undisclosed amount of cash.

Police suspect that the man dressed like Rick James may have also robbed Indiana Members Credit Union. The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department is now asking for the public’s help in the hunt for the suspects.  Anyone with information is urged to call the FBI Violent Crimes Task Force at 317 595-4000 or Crime Stoppers of Indiana at 317 262-TIPS (8477). Callers may also text “INDYCS” plus tip information to 274637 (CRIMES).
