The Detroit Recovery Project had an all-star healing and helping leadership development conference. “Real Housewives of Atlanta’s” Claudia Jordan and GlamUniversity founder and CEO Sabrina Peterson shared stories of triumphs and trials that many women face.
The Detroit Recovery Project + Female Success Factor Leadership Development Conference alongside rolling out brought together Detroiters to share information on personal brand and business development and technology.
Yoga instructions were given during the main seminar. Women learned the fundamentals of stretching and strengthening their core, which heightens awareness and spawns ideas.
The breakout sessions with leaders and titans of industry highlighted the need to process. Miss Mays shared her story about her phenomenal experience in the printing business and manufacturing of ideas business, how to establish best practices for women who are branding themselves and their ideas.
Mays, a veteran of the business world, has a successful family behind her in the business world. She illustrated to the attendees how brands and systems work together.
Additionally, Peterson talked about monetizing genius concepts and ideas, often referencing the concept as flipping. She stressed the time to act is right now,.
Transformation was the word of the day given by the master of ceremonies, Munson Steed, CEO of Steed Media Group, publisher of rolling out. The term “transformation” was shouted from the heights. In attendance were Pastor David Bullock and Councilman André Spivey. Attendees were motivated throughout the day and the event culminated with a ceremony honoring community leaders who have provided the inspiration and support that many in the recovery community need.
Detroit Recovery Project continues to deliver healthy programming through the female success factor leadership and development conference.
Detroit Recovery Project’s CEO Andre Johnson said, “We celebrate these women, their accomplishments and their ability to give insight. Today, we connected our local leaders with celebrities in reality TV and social media who were transparent about overcoming adversity and how they address challenges as they travel their career paths.”
Recovery gets better everyday as the Detroit Recovery Project provides important services. In highlighting these winners, Darlene Owens, director of Substance Use Disorders Initiatives at Detroit Wayne Mental Health Authority, was one of the award-winning leaders.
Chanel Jackson, director of the governmental leadership relations for the Detroit international bridge company, surprised the audience with her truth and candor about leadership was another award-winner. The government and public relations professional from the Coca-Cola Company, Felicia Turrentine Wasson, was the leadership of excellence candidate and Alexis Wiley, chief of staff for the city of Detroit mayor, was another leadership excellence award winner. These women forged and created opportunities for their professional career and made programming a priority for the recovery community. Their leadership can be seen in transforming the recovering community through bringing the highest caliber of professionals to provide insight and healthy recovery practices to all.
