A naked Bronx, New York mother screaming about God, Satan and the end of days dangled her 6-month-old daughter from a 6th floor window yesterday and is now being held on charges of second degree murder.
The mother, Tenisha Fearon, 27, is being described as emotionally disturbed and incoherent. A crowd gathered yesterday afternoon as Fearon was dangling her daughter Janillah Lawrence out of the window. Instead of picking up cell phones and filming the incident, the crowd pleaded with the mother to stop. Multiple witnesses are saying the Bronx mother was screaming “hallelujah and Praise the Lord.”
One neighbor Lizette Rodriguez is quoted as saying, “They were yelling at her, ‘Don’t do it. Think about it.’ And there were people who stopped, but she wasn’t…’I’m going to throw the baby out the window,’ and she was screaming, ‘We’re all gonna die.’ And that’s when I figured, ‘OK, this is time to call 911.'”
But it was too late and the child was dropped to the ground as the mother shouted “Freedom, Freedom.” Ghe child died from her injuries an hour later at a New York hospital. Also in the apartment were another parent and three children, a 4-year-old girl, 8-year-old girl and 10-year-old boy. It is being reported that when police entered the apartment, Fearon was lying naked on her back on the floor. But in a bizarre twist, she was also surrounded by her other children who were also naked. The children were unharmed but were taken to a hospital for a precautionary evaluation.
This is the second time in two weeks that a mother has thrown a child from a window. Jennifer Berry, 33, threw her newborn son from a window after giving birth in a shower.
