Trina Braxton was overwhelmed with joy as family and friends joined her for the long-awaited soft opening of her new establishment Bar Chix. On several episodes of “Braxton Family Values” on We tv, we witnessed Braxton booking her Bar Chix bartenders for events such as Tamar Braxton’s pre-grammy party in Los Angeles and TI Harris’s wife Tiny Harris’ Tiny Tequila event in New Orleans. Now Bar Chix has a home base available for private parties and events. Bar Chix will also double as a bar.
Located in the heart of Duluth off Peachtree Industrial Blvd in Atlanta, Bar Chix will likely be the only urban focused bar in the area that also serves select delicacies.
Guests at the opening were able to try several dishes created from recipes in Momma Braxton’s secret cookbook. Trina Braxton claims some of the recipes are actually from her own cookbook, too.
The soft launch was well-attended by the “who’s who” of Atlanta and media folks. Spotted were Da Brat (rapper/host of the Rickey Smiley morning show), Meelah( 7o2 singer and wife of Musiq Soulchild), Carl Payne (actor/producer), Zane (author/screenwriter), Jack A Daniels (relationship expert/ therapist), Towanda Braxton and her family, Dee Dee Peters and Paul Conlon (“Hollywood Hill Billies”), Omara Harris (attorney), the cast of “Selling in the ATL”; Gwen Moss Boyd, Jae Christian, Kevia and a host of others.
Unfortunately, the soft opening followed the reality show trend Sheree Whitfield started when she had the “fashion show with no fashion” on “RHOA”… then Kenya Moore had her hair product launch with no hair products to give away or sample. Finally, Karlie Redd followed up with her hair launch party without one strand of hair in the room.
Basically, the grand soft opening of Bar Chix had no libations.
