Why did you write this book?
I wrote this book because I was seeking a fresh topic that no one was talking about. In urban fiction some storylines can be repeated over and over again by different authors. I wanted to write about something that was new and it would challenge the readers way of thinking.
What’s the story behind the title?
The story behind the title of Do As I Say is to illustrate domestic violence from the perspective of a control issue. If you obey the dominant partner everything will be okay. If you don’t obey the dominant partner this is when domestic violence come in to play.
What do you hope readers will glean from reading your book?
I hope the readers will glean from this book the fact domestic violence is a universal issue. It doesn’t matter what race or gender you are, domestic violence is an alarming problem in today’s society.
How long did it take you to write this book?
It took me three months to write each book and a full year to complete the Do As I Say Trilogy.
What was your regimen to complete this book?
My regimen to complete the Do As I Say trilogy was doing the proper research, creating a timeline of topics I wanted to include in the books, and staying focused and going to the lab to work on a daily basis.

Domestic violence against men is on the rise. About 25 percent of domestic violence cases which go to trial, men are the victims
