Lamar Odom miraculously escaped death last month after he survived falling into a coma and reportedly enduring multiple strokes after suffering a drug overdose at a Nevada brothel. Thankfully, Odom survived the incident and has been on the mend, ever since. However, a new report claims Odom’s recovery is in jeopardy because he’s allegedly denying that he has a drug problem.

As previously reported, a drug test revealed that cocaine was indeed in Odom’s system when he was rushed to a Nevada hospital after being found unconscious in the brothel. There’s also even a chance that Odom will be charged for having drugs in his system, although he likely won’t serve time.

However, according to RadarOnline, Odom will be released from the hospital soon, and although doctors have said he will need extensive rehab to recover from his medical ordeal, sources say Odom doesn’t believe he’ll need drug rehab.

“Lamar will be released from the hospital in the next ten days,” a source said. “It’s uncertain if he will go to a facility to continue physical rehab, or do it as an outpatient.”

The source goes on to say that Odom’s wife, Khloe Kardashian, who has been by his side and was even making medical decisions on his behalf, wants him to go to rehab: “Khloe told Lamar that after he was released from the hospital, he would need to go to rehab for substance abuse addiction. Lamar balked and said no way….Blaming the hookers for his overdose, Lamar is still insisting he doesn’t have a drug problem. He is still in denial.”

Although Kardashian decided to put a stop to her divorce from Odom, she recently revealed that she has no immediate plans to get back together with Odom. Instead, she’s continuing her romance with NBA star James Harden. And according to the source, Kardashian also does not want Odom to stay with her after he’s released from the hospital.

“Khloe has made it clear, Lamar won’t be staying with her,” the source said. “He has a loft in downtown Los Angeles, and there are other options that can be explored.”

Well, we hope Odom follows his doctor’s advice and seeks full rehab treatment, but only he can decide what kind of treatment he needs now.
