Police apprehended a man who threatened to kill Black students at the University of Missouri. According to the Missourian, the arrest occurred after a racist post was uploaded on Yik Yak on Nov. 10.

The anonymous post said, “I’m going to stand my ground tomorrow and shoot every black person I see.” The post eventually went viral and students at the school shared their fear of attending school the following day.

Police eventually tracked down the person who allegedly uploaded the post and attributed it Hunter Park. Park, 19, lives in Rolla, Missouri which is 100 miles south of Columbia.

Along with Park’s racial posts, other racists have used social media to make threats against Black students at the University of Missouri. Some have claimed that the KKK were on the school’s campus, but it has yet to be confirmed by authorities.

The unrest at the school has stemmed from years of overt racism. When the school’s football team decided against playing, President Tim Wolfe resigned.

Campus protests continue at the school.
