Compton rapper The Game is probably wishing he never laced up his sneakers for this particular game of pickup basketball.

The “100” rapper was recently in court to officially enter his plea after being charged with making criminal threats and assault and battery as a result of an altercation he had during a scrimmage game of hoops in March.

During the basketball game, the rapper allegedly got into an argument with an opposing player over a foul call and ended up punching him. Unbeknownst to the 36-year-old rapper, the man he argued with and punched was an off-duty officer. The Game was arrested and later released on $50K bail.

According to reports, Game entered a plea of not guilty in the case.

In addition to the criminal case, LAPD officer Onyebuchi Awaji has also filed a civil suit over the matter claiming that he suffered brain damage from the incident, which was captured on video and is currently making the rounds in the cyber-sphere.

The Game is due back in court on January 11.
