Lottery winner Marie Holmes has dedicated herself to keeping her criminal-minded boyfriend out of jail. Holmes has stood by her man through the good and [very] bad times by posting his jail bond, again.

On Dec. 26, Holmes’ boyfriend Lamarr McDow, 31, violated a pre-trial agreement and was arrested in Brunswick County, North Carolina. Authorities claim that McDow attempted to arrange a street car race. It was in violation to his parole which states that he could only go to work, church on Sundays, and visit the doctor if needed. His ankle bracelet, which held a GPS monitor, showed that he was out of his agreed range. McDow’s bail was $12 million and Holmes went to the Brunswick County Jail and paid the bond shortly after McDow was arrested.

Since Holmes, 26, won the Powerball lottery for $188 million, she has used $21 million to bail McDow out of jail. She paid $3 million after he was arrested on heroin charges in 2014. In August, McDow was arrested during a raid and she posted a $6 million bail.

Holmes has four kids from different relationships and struggled in poverty before hitting the third largest Powerball in lottery history. But she has decided to remain close to McDow and continue to live in the same town.

It’s apparent that McDow has severe problems with the law and could likely create a legal issue for Holmes. If authorities can somehow tie Holmes to McDow’s illegal activities, a case can be brought against her which could lead to her assets being seized by police.

In 2016, Holmes must take a long look at herself and the future of her kids. She should probably leave the state and relocate to another city before McDow’s legal issues began to affect more than her winnings.
