Convicted serial rapist cop Daniel Holtzclaw is now behind bars and sporting a new look. Law enforcement officials released the mugshot of Holtzclaw as he begins to serve his 263-year prison sentence for the rape of at least 13 Black women in a poor section of Oklahoma City, OK. The disgraced officer now has a bald head and orange prison jumpsuit as he starts his life sentence in an unannounced prison in Oklahoma.
Holtzclaw was found guilty in December 2015 on 18 of 36 charges of sexually assaulting Black women while on duty. Holtzclaw did not testify at his trial where 13 of his victims testified against him. When his sentence was read, Holtzclaw broke down in tears and screamed, “I didn’t do it” as he was taken away in handcuffs. The victims of his depraved assaults stated that Holtzclaw ruined their lives. One victim identified as Jannie Ligons told the court in a victim impact statement, “I so desperately want my life back – the life I had before he took it away.”
