Notoriously reclusive rapper Jay Electronica is once again making his presence felt in the world of hip-hop. Unfortunately for lyrical lovers, his re-emergence isn’t to drop new music or give fans an update on his long and eagerly awaited debut album.

Instead, the New Orleans born rapper took to video streaming site Periscope to record a bizarre 15 plus minute video in which he called out a few rappers, namely Kendrick Lamar and 50 Cent.

“Look, I like the one Kendrick song with Gunplay, ‘Cartoons and Cereal,’ but other than that we don’t know what that ni–a talking about,” he said.

At another point he says the TDE rapper is like a child to him.

“Kendrick is my son,” he laments. “Kendrick is my baby, Kendrick wishes he could be me.”

This isn’t the first time the Roc Nation rapper has had some words for Lamar. Fans may recall that at the height of the 2014 hysteria surrounding Kendrick’s verse on Big Sean’s “Control” – a song that also featured Electronica – he downplayed Lamar’s verse in the face of the critical acclaim it had received, ranking it last when asked the order of the best verses on the song.

“Me, Big Sean, then Kendrick. He really didn’t say anything,” the “Exhibit C” rapper said. “No shots. Everyone knows I like Kendrick, but facts are facts.”

Later on in the video, just for good measure, Electronica then calls out G-Unit boss 50 Cent.

“50 Cent at once, he was a good rapper,” he claims. “Right now he got the potential to be a rapper, but he’s on some sucker s–t…and we will slap 50 Cent’s eyeballs loose out his scalp.”

Will Kendrick Lamar respond to Electronica’s baiting? And how long before 50 Cent takes to Instagram to make a hilarious (and petty) meme? Only time will tell where this seemingly random rant of Electronica’s will lead. Be sure to check in with us for the updates.
