During Sunday night’s episode of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta,” things got petty as usual when the cameras rolled on a scene in which many of the ladies were filmed gossiping about Kim Fields‘ husband, Chris, allegedly being gay. Since then, fans have weighed in on the matter and Kenya Moore has taken a lot of blame for the gossip. However, she recently defended herself and said she’s not to blame for the chatter about Chris.
As fans of the show will remember, the gossip about Chris’ sexuality seemed to stem from Moore claiming that there have been rumors in Hollywood for years that Chris is gay and that his Hollywood nickname is “Chrissy.” Some of the other ladies agreed that Chris is flamboyant, but Kim wasn’t there for the conversation to defend her husband. It wasn’t until the next evening when Sheree Whitfield brought up the rumors in front of all of the ladies that Kim discovered her husband was being talked about. And according to Moore, she wasn’t happy about Whitfield making it seem like she started the gossip about Chris.
“GOSSIP GIRL,” Moore wrote about Whitfield in her latest Bravo blog post.
Moore continued, “I find it crazy that some viewers believe I started the discussion about Kim’s husband. WRONG. It was Phaedra. Phaedra stated he ‘was zesty’ and ‘had a fire in his pants.’ From there, each girl clearly stated that they saw questionable behavior from him (with the exception of Cynthia). The only reason Kim’s husband came up is because he had snapped on several of the women earlier that day. He was snapping his fingers in their faces, yelling at them being rude and ‘reading them’ during their bus ride home from Jamaica. The girls were shocked as they didn’t see this behavior from him before. Apparently, he was so obnoxious he had to later apologize to all the women.”
But that’s not all that Moore had to say on the matter. Read the rest of her statements on Chris, after the cut.
