Bankroll Fresh was viewed as one of the rising stars on the Atlanta rap scene. The artist built an impressive buzz with his single, “Hot Boy,” and his mixtape, Life of a Hot Boy.
On March 5, it was reported that Bankroll Fresh, born Trentavious White, was shot and killed at Street Execs Studio in Atlanta’s west midtown area. Initial reports suggest that nearly 50 shell casings were found on the ground outside of the studio. Authorities are still attempting to determine a motive for the shooting.
In 2015, 2 Chainz teamed up with Street Execs Management to open Street Execs Studios. The studio held a grand opening in 2015 to premiere its state-of-the-art studio and new music by Street Execs artists, including Bankroll Fresh. Bankroll Fresh recently appeared in the independent film, Take Over Your Trap. Last month, he released his “Poppin Sh**” video.
Several prominent artists have paid tribute to Bankroll Fresh, who was 28 at the time of his untimely death.
