Cardi B revealed the hellish atmosphere that was unleashed in her house once her husband Offset learned that fellow Migos member Takeoff had been shot and killed in Houston.
“I was was in bed,” the raptress told Jason Lee of Hollywood Unlocked during the debut of his Revolt TV show, “The Jason Lee Show.”
“We was going to go to LaLa’s party in New York, and my daughter threw up all over my costume … We just fell asleep, and out of nowhere, Offset’s phone kept ringing; mine kept ringing.”
Cardi continued, saying: “Offset picked up the phone and he’s just like ‘No!’ screaming [over and over].”
Cardi said she reflexively slapped her husband after asking why he was screaming and her husband said, “Takeoff is dead,” because she believed that he was telling a sick joke.
With Offset throwing things, vomiting, and running around the house, Cardi admits she was very scared. “It was terrible,” she shared with Lee. “Everything was so triggering.”
Later in “The Jason Lee Show,” Cardi B discusses her cosmetic surgeries, her struggles with anxiety, being an introvert, and her thoughts on Quavo’s “Messy” track with Takeoff.
