The highly anticipated season finale of “Love and Hip Hop: New York” aired Monday night. One of the events that fans were most excited to see was the wedding between hip hop lovebirds Remy Ma and Papoose. But the ceremony didn’t happen without some challenges.

The couple had a telephone wedding in 2008 because Remy was incarcerated, but now that she’s free, they’re finally able to have a proper ceremony. Remy decided to work with Yandi’s wedding coordinator, but initially she wasn’t happy with the way things were being planned. She wanted a skating rink outside, but due to bad weather, the rink had to be moved indoors.

The bride-to-be ran into more bad news on her big day while getting her make-up done when she was told that the pastor hadn’t arrived and wasn’t answering his phone. But Papoose revealed that he secretly booked the same pastor who officiated their first wedding, but wanted it to be a surprise for Remy.

During the ceremony drama, Peter Gunz and Amina Buddafly got into an argument. Peter, who had recently got one of his children’s mothers pregnant for the third time, tells his wife that he’s going to get a vasectomy. Amina is upset that Tara will be having his last child after she terminated her last pregnancy.

“So, you’re giving Tara another baby — your ex. And to your wife that wanted another child, you’re saying no?” she tells Peter.

Amina then tells Peter that she’s finished with their relationship.

Aside from all the drama, the wedding ends up being beautiful and exactly the way Remy wanted it. “He told me that he would be waiting for me, and there he is,” she said about her husband.

Remy and Papoose agreed that they will eventually have children together. It’s rumored that Remy will reveal that she is pregnant during the reunion show.

Part 1 of the Season 6 “Love and Hip Hop: New York” reunion airs March 14 at 8 p.m. EST on VH1.
