Tank and Tyrese went from BFFs to bitter enemies over the past few months as a small disagreement between the two turned into a full-blown feud just a few weeks ago. But it seems like the high-profile feud couldn’t keep these freinds apart because they recently revealed that they’ve squashed their beef.
As previously reported, the trouble started brewing between Tank and Tyrese back in December when the former TGT groupmates got into a squabble on Instagram after Tyrese challenged other R&B singers to make a “pure” R&B album. The drama began to pick up again earlier this month when Tank claimed that the reason TGT broke up and wasn’t getting back together was because Tyrese was taking a bigger cut of the money than Tank and Ginuwine.
Tyrese didn’t take kindly to Tank’s accusation at all and the two men ended up in a two-day Instagram feud in which Tyrese claims he makes $150K per show and that Tank only wants to ride his wave of success. Meanwhile, Tank accused Tyrese of lying about his income and claimed that Tyrese went back on his word about splitting the money evenly between the three men.
Although many assumed that the beef between Tank and Tyrese would continue, it looks like the two made up quicker than we thought because yesterday Tyrese posted a screenshot of a FaceTime conversation between him and Tank, announcing that they’d patched things up.
“R&Beef? Nah……….. My brother for life….. When it feels like R&B don’t matter you just have to do a few things to get your loved ones talkin…… TGT!!!!!!!!! For life…… I just sent him our new video/movie #TheBlackBook he called me on FaceTime to tell me I’ve officially creatively lost my mind – get out and support the #SexLoveAndPainTour Google the dates……. My Co-King is out there putting up numbers!!!!!” Tyrese captioned the photo.
Tank also reposted the photo and caption, effectively co-signing Tyrese’s announcement that the beef was over. We’re happy that these two were able to settle their differences and get back to supporting each other’s careers.
