Katt Williams continues to have a rough start to 2016. In a recent video that has gone viral, the comedian appeared to be at a playground or community center and was surrounded by teenagers. Williams appears to tell a joke and most of the kids around him laugh.
However, one teen, who is apparently in the seventh grade, is speaking to Williams and is rather close. When the teen turns his head slightly, Williams punches the teen in his jaw. Unafraid of the celebrity, the teenager fights back and wrestles Williams to the ground. The teen then puts a choke hold on Williams who is unable to break free. After a few moments of tussling, several people break up the fight and convince the young boy to release his grip from William’s neck. Williams stays on the ground and looks confused as the video comes to an end.
It’s the latest incident in the ongoing saga that has become Williams’ life in 2016. In February, Williams was approached by women who wanted a picture with him after a show in Atlanta. Williams agreed to take the picture, but he became upset when one of the women began filming with her cellphone. He allegedly punched one of the women, Salena Boston, took her cellphone, and began fighting the others. The women also claimed that a member of Williams’ entourage took out a gun and laid it on the pavement as if to threaten the women with more violence.
Police arrived at the scene and Williams told a different story. He said the women approached him and began grabbing him while trying to snatch his necklace. At that point, Williams said he was trying to protect himself after one of the women said that she would go to her trunk and get a weapon.
During that same weekend, Williams was also arrested after fighting an employee at a pool supply store. After getting in an argument with the employee, Williams allegedly threw goggles at the employee and punched the man in the face. When police arrived, Williams was face down with his hands behind his back, prepared for his arrest. Williams said the employee called him the N-word before the fight occurred.
Weeks later, Williams also got into a fight at a Beanie Sigel concert and was stomped on stage after punching a guy.
The comedian says that he doesn’t do drugs, but his recent actions suggest that there are some deep issues that need to be addressed.
